  • Exhibits a nurturing and child-friendly personality.

  • Willing to provide a one-year commitment for all long-term positions.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a full-time or consistently dedicated part-time nanny.

  • Successfully passes a comprehensive level 2 background check.

  • Strong childcare references highlighting dependability, excellent communication skills, timeliness, and emotional maturity.

  • Take initiative in decision-making that aligns with the family's parenting methods.

  • Educational credentials or established expertise in children's developmental needs.

  • Demonstrates proficient oral and written English communication skills, including email proficiency.

  • Willing to assist with light housekeeping and all childcare-related tasks, including organizing, laundry, cooking and cleaning up after the children.

  • Maintains a professional and polished appearance.

This conversation will provide a thorough understanding of your family’s specific childcare needs and expectations, allowing us to customize our search for the perfect nanny. It’s also a chance for us to connect and determine if we’re a good fit for each other.

Following the in-depth call, we will develop a detailed family profile that captures your unique childcare needs and expectations. Our team will use this profile to identify qualified vetted candidates who align closely with your specifications.

  • Live-out Placement (long-term): 12% of nanny's gross annual compensation*

  • Live-in Placement (long-term): 15% of nanny's gross annual compensation*

  • Temporary Hires (1-3 months): 15% of nanny's gross earnings for the employment period**

  • Newborn Care Specialist: 20% of NCS's gross earnings for the duration of employment **

*120-day replacement policy guarantees that if you terminate employment or your nanny resigns, we’ll help you find a suitable replacement.

**For temporary hires, our replacement policy applies for a duration equivalent to one-third of the contract length.

Given the high caliber of candidates we represent, typical hourly rates range from $30 to $35 or more.

  • Hiring a nanny usually takes around 2 to 6 weeks. This timeline involves assessing the family's specific requirements, networking, and conducting comprehensive candidate screenings.

  • The IRS categorizes a nanny as a household employee rather than an independent contractor. The nanny is your employee. As the employer, it is your responsibility to pay the nanny directly, manage all taxes and withholdings for the nanny. Our service is not involved in any portion of the nanny's earnings.

If a nanny uses their personal vehicle for work-related duties, families are required to reimburse them at the IRS mileage rate for 2024, which is 67 cents per mile.
